The study\u00c2\u00a0was a three-year trial to reduce antimicrobial use (AMU) in 102 native chicken farms in the Mekong Delta.<\/p>\n<p>Farmers were trained by local vets to improve their practices in order to reduce levels of antimicrobial consumption in their flocks. Results indicate that \u00c2\u00a0chicken flocks reduced levels of AMU by 66% whilst decreasing weekly mortality by 40%.
